Nic więc dziwnego, że w momencie premiery albumu "1989" wiele osób dokładnie analizowało teksty piosenek z płyty, aby odkryć czy nie ma na nich wzmianek szczególnie o Harrym Stylesie z One Direction, z którym artystka rozstała się, pisząc album. Bardzo łatwo odkryto, że piosenki "Style" i "Out of the woods" zawierają pewne skojarzenia z historią pary, jednak tradycyjnie nie doczekały się one komentarza gwiazdy.
